Article 8 (Paid Services and Payment)

  1. The content, fees, billing cycle, and payment method of a Paid Service (hereinafter a “Subscription”) are displayed on the purchase screen. In-app purchases are made through the Apple App Store or Google Play (each, an “App Market”), and the terms of use and policies of the relevant App Market also apply to payment, cancellation, and refunds.
  2. Unless the user cancels it, a Subscription automatically renews for the same period and at the same price, and each renewal is charged to the payment method the user has registered with the App Market. If the Company raises the Subscription fee or converts free use into paid use, the Company shall notify users in advance and obtain their consent in accordance with applicable laws.
  3. A user may cancel a Subscription at any time on the subscription management screen of the App Market. Cancellation takes effect from the next billing date, and the user may continue to use the Subscription benefits until the end of the period already paid for. A user who does not wish to be charged again must cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
  4. A user may withdraw a purchase within 7 days from the date of payment if the user has not used the Subscription benefits. However, withdrawal is restricted in the cases set forth in the subparagraphs of Article 17(2) of the Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce (Korea), such as where the user has started using the Subscription benefits. The Company indicates on the purchase screen that withdrawal is restricted, and provides free features through which users can try the Service in advance.
  5. Notwithstanding paragraph 4, if the content of a Subscription differs from what was displayed or advertised, or the Subscription is performed differently from the contract, the user may withdraw the purchase within 3 months from the date on which the Subscription benefits were provided, or within 30 days from the date on which the user became aware, or could have become aware, of such fact.
  6. Withdrawals and refunds are processed through the refund procedure of the App Market that processed the payment. For payments made through the Apple App Store, the user must request a refund directly from Apple, and the Company supports refunds to the extent it is able to process them under the App Market's policies. Once a refund is completed, the Subscription benefits provided for that payment are revoked.
  7. For consumable content such as diamonds and energy, withdrawal is restricted for the portion already used.
  8. If a user is unable to use a Paid Service for reasons attributable to the Company, the Company shall take necessary measures, such as extending the period of use or issuing a refund, in accordance with applicable laws and the Content User Protection Guidelines (Korea).
